The ROSbot XL Robotic Platform Intel NUC Version is a versatile, ROS2-native autonomous mobile robot platform, specifically designed for research and development, rapid prototyping, and custom robot development for indoor applications. This platform incorporates a Intel NUC Single Board Computer, an Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU) from Bosch BNO055, which includes an accelerometer and a gyro, and four DC motors equipped with quadrature encoders.
The platform is equipped with four DC motors with quadrature encoders, an integrated USB hub, and a built-in Li-Ion 3S battery. The power board comes with advanced energy management features, including USB-C Power Delivery compatibility and protection circuits. The power for SBC supply can be selected from 5V, 12V, or 19V.
The platform is equipped with a universal mounting plate, suitable for various attachments such as LIDARs and robot arms. The Rosbot XL ROS2 packages and firmware are readily available, offering ready-to-use templates for common use cases such as autonomous navigation or remote control with a gamepad.
The standard configuration of the platform includes the Rosbot XL with a Raspberry Pi 4, a USB-C charger, and two sets of wheels: regular and mecanum.
Please note that the LIDAR and RGBD camera are not included in the basic configuration.
