Turn your modular system into a self-contained music machine with the Tiptop Audio BD909, a Eurorack module featuring the original 909 analog bass drum circuit. Adapting the circuit to the modular format has allowed special features to be added like independent accent level, a high-powered gain stage, an overload waveshaper for added odd harmonics, attack and decay controls for 909 VCA and tune, as well as voltage control of overload and tune, all without compromising the signature sound of the TR-909 bass drum. The BD909 is tuned to sound like a machine that came fresh off the original '80s assembly line. The module ships with a ribbon power cable.

BD909 Overview
- The BD909 is a recreation of Roland's TR-909 analog bass drum sound generator adapted for modular synthesizer use. The front panel contains all of the controls found on the original TR-909 drum machine, allowing you full control over the sound�s volume levels to mix with other drums, accent levels, and envelope attack and decay segments. In addition to those original controls, TipTop added new controls, further enhancing this legendary sound generator.
- The BD909 really shines when it is played alongside a nice big bass line. Most of the energy of the BD909 is centered in the midrange of the sonic spectrum; the result being that there is headroom for deep low bass lines to fill up the lower end without fighting the bass drum in the mix. This quality of the BD909 makes it a real joy to work with and mix.
